During the ITS Texas Annual Meeting on November 17, 2023, Matt D'Angelo, a leading figure in transportation systems management and operations, delivered a presentation on the I-24 MOTION project.  D'Angelo's presentation highlighted the innovative aspects of the I-24 MOTION testbed, a groundbreaking initiative by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). This project represents a significant leap in the field of transportation, focusing on advanced traffic management and the integration of automated vehicle technologies in real-world traffic conditions.

I-24 MOTION, which opened in the fall of 2022, has been recognized for its pioneering approach and has received multiple state and national awards.
